It is a national holiday held annually on April 27th to celebrate King Willem-Alexander's birthday. Dutch people take the streets to celebrate their national pride with music, food, and drink, and the entire country is adorned with the national color of orange.
It is a day of national celebration, and the people go out to make it memorable. The festivities start early in the morning with flea markets and street sales all over the country. People sell all sorts of items, including clothes, books, toys, and household goods. The celebration continues into the evening with concerts, street parties, and fireworks. In Amsterdam, the canals are filled with boats.
