WORLD BOOK DAY
Many, many years ago, in 1616 to be precise, something peculiar happened. Two of the greatest writers in history, William Shakespeare and Miguel de Cervantes, died on the same date: April 23rd. In memory of these great authors of the past and the many authors that followed, we celebrate World Book Day today.
At Vascobelo, we love to join in on these celebrations as books have also captured a special place in our hearts. And it is not only in our hearts that we cherish books. In our Café-Brasseries, you will find numerous bookshelves filled to the brim with books of all sorts.
Feel free to pick one to read whilst enjoying a lovely cup of coffee at our Café-Brasseries. And because we at Vascobelo know to never judge a book by its cover, we have removed the covers. Let yourself be surprised, dive into another world or learn something new.
What book will you be reading today?
“Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors, and the most patient of teachers”
- Charles W. Elliot
