THE SENSE OF AN ESPRESSO THROUGH A PAPER FILTER

To put it simply ESE Pods are like teabags, but instead of tea, they contain coffee. They provide a standardised quality of espresso with consistent results every time. In fact, the coffee inside the pods is ground to millimetre precision and tamped in a vacuum cabin, which minimises the loss of aroma. Each pod is then packed individually in aluminium foil to hold the aroma where it belongs; inside. Overall, each pod contains 7.2 grams of coffee, which is almost 50% more than most commercial brands.

Moreover, our environmental concern guided us in the choice of paper as the medium for the pods in our coffee machines. Paper pods also enable us to produce healthier coffee. Filter paper is particularly effective in reducing the presence of grounds and other coffee residues such as waxes and oils. It is also used in pharmaceutical applications because it traps waterborne bacteria and reduces impurities. The coffee is, therefore, healthier and more digestible.
