THE COFFEE MACHINE
There is coffee, and then there is coffee. When thinking of factors that can influence its flavour, people tend to think of the freshness of the beans, the grind size, the components of the blend or even water. But have you ever considered that the taste of coffee may vary simply because of the type of machine used?
ROLE OF THE COFFEE MACHINE
The quality of a cup depends on the coffee beans, the barista’s skills and experience and the coffee machine. While the first two variables are diverse and complex, the machine will most likely always create a consistent shot.
However, the quality of the machine is of great influence to a perfect espresso. It allows the exact amount of water to run through the coffee grounds at the proper temperature and at the right pressure.
ALL-TIME SETTINGS
To prepare the ultimate coffee, your machine should always be set to the following settings:
- Boiler pressure between 1 and 1,5 bar
- Water pressure more than 9 bar
- Temperature for all Vascobelo blends
- should be 92 degrees Celsius
WHY IT IS ESSENTIAL TO INVEST IN A GOOD ESPRESSO MACHINE
Many people drink coffee, and most tend to buy inexpensive models of coffee makers. If they have become convenient to use and trendy to have in one’s home, there are some features only professional machines have that can tremendously transform the coffee one will get. In fact, there is a lot to consider when purchasing a coffee machine, but most decisions will deal with preferences, cost and convenience.
Our preferred machine brands are: La Marzocco, Kees van der Westen and Vibiemme.
